Translation equivalence is an very important and difficult aspect. There are denotative, connotative, textnormative, pragmatic and formal equivalences. This paper informs about equivalence types in terminology and offers ideas and suggestions to develop translation skills of students at the Department of Westeuropean Languages and Cultures. In my opinion, translation equivalences and terminology equivalence play an important role in our translation training programm, because translation means to find equivalences between two languages.
